WORKMANSHIP WARRANTY 

Aotea Roofing Limited  stands by a five year workmanship warranty on all of their work.  For Butynol, Coloursteel and Gerard Tiles product warranties will be posted out once full payment has been received. For new builds a memorandum of understanding will be provided at the same time as the warranty.

Gerard Roofing Pressed steel roofing

Gerard roof are exposed to climate extremes around the glob-heat, cold, high winds, desert sun, monsoon rains and salt spray.  They steadfastly refuse to degrade, despite the environment's determination to maintain natural decay. The extraordinary durability of Gerard roofs is back by a comprehensive three point warranty.

1. Weather resistance 2 Surface coating

50-year weatherproof warranty
Gerard pressed steel roofs come with a 25-year full weatherproof warranty, plus a diminishing pro-rata warranty for a further 25 years.

2 SURFACE COATING

20-year textured surface coat warranty
The surface coat on our textured product has a 10-year full warranty, plus a diminishing pro-rata warranty for a further 10 years.

15-year smooth surface coat warranty
Our smooth surface coat comes with a 5-year full warranty, plus a diminishing pro-rata warranty for a further 10 years.

3. Installation

COLORSTEEL WARRANTIES

Both COLORSTEEL® Maxx™ and COLORSTEEL® Endura™ have residential warranties available. The product used and the location of the building determines the warranty period.

The New Zealand Building Code (BIA B2.3.1 Durability) has indicated that non-structural roofing shall have a minimum durability of 15 years (with maintenance).

Our residential roofing warranties meet this requirement. Cladding, fascia and rainwater products also meet the appropriate durability requirements.

The environment of the building location dictates the warranty term. Aotea Roofing Limited can advise you further, with your details such as your address and product required. 

ARDEX BUTYNOL  WARRANTY

When laid by an approved Applicator in accordance with Ardex's specifications, a material warranty for up to 20 years (covering the Membrane, adhesive and tape) is available. Aotea Roofing Limited are approved applicators.

Maintenance Gerard Roofs

As long as you adhere to the required maintenance for your new or re roof. (A recommended maintenance guide is part of the warranty for your new roof and will be supplied once the job has finished, the above warranties will be applicable.

MAINTENANCE Butynol

CLEANING WEATHERED BUTYNOL® Use sugar soap to remove oxidation and restore surface.Wind blown dirt is more noticeable on low slope roofs,particularly on black Butynol®.

Maintenance guide for Colorsteel Max

Areas of COLORSTEEL® Maxx™ pre painted steel not regularly washed with rain water, such as wall cladding, unwashed areas and areas of high risk, must be routinely washed to remove surface deposits to ensure satisfactory life is obtained from the product. Specific maintenance recommendations are given in the table below. Check guttering and downpipes regularly and remove any debris which may lead to ponding or flooding. Always wear soft soled shoes when walking on COLORSTEEL® pre painted steel surfaces to avoid causing damage.

Contact us now for a free no obligation quote.  Once the quote has been accepted or goods delivered to site a 50% deposit is required.  Once the job is finished and tidy you will receive an invoice for the remaining roof contract, this is payable within seven days of  invoice. To make this process even easier, we offer a credit card service for visa or MasterCard at no additional cost to you. Your warranty will then be on-forwarded to you once full payment has been received.
